1.1 Cryogenic. Cryogenic hydrogen has a density nearly twice that of compressed hydrogen at 70 MPa (700 bar). Liquid hydrogen is stored in specially insulated cryogenic tanks under pressure, which have provisions for cooling, heating and venting. Tank sizes can range from 1.5 m3 (100 kg) to 75.0 m3 (5000 kg).
